Buying a carpet

How can I tell a carpet is hand-made?

Turn it over, check that the fringe is a continuation of the warp, and look for small irregularities. All seven checks are in the buyer’s guide.

Should I bargain?

Bargaining is a natural part of Turkish bazaar culture, but it is never required. İsrafil guides you through choosing and bargaining.

Can my carpet be shipped home?

Yes. Complimentary worldwide door-to-door shipping is included with your carpet purchase. Shipping arrangements and all relevant details will be confirmed at the time of purchase.

The book

It’s available on Amazon as Kindle, paperback and hardcover. The Kindle edition can be read free with Kindle Unlimited.

What language is the book in?

English, 133 pages, with illustrations by Océane Taveneau.
